The Nantucket Health and Human Services Department is monitoring a significant spike in respiratory illnesses, including COVID, flu and RSV.

Uncashed, town and county issued checks are considered to be unclaimed property three months after the issue date and until they remain uncashed for a period of one year, when they become abandoned property.

Abandoned property will be posted on the website for 60 days before being advertised in the newspaper.

The Nantucket Regional Transit Authority announced today that from November 25th through December 31st Wave fixed route bus service and Your Island Ride demand response services will be free.

Nantucket Solar Guidelines Survey

Students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute are conducting a research project in collaboration with the Town of Nantucket and the Nantucket Preservation Trust to identify ways to improve local solar permitting, including the HDC approval process.

This survey is estimated to take approximately 5-10 minutes. You may skip any questions you prefer not to answer, and you may withdraw at any time. The survey is anonymous – no name or personal identifying information will be collected.
