Anaerobic Digester Feasibility Study
The Town of Nantucket Sewer Department and Weston & Sampson are conducting a feasibility study to evaluate the potential for developing an organics-to-energy project at the Town-owned Surfside Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) through a grant provided by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC).

Capacity Management Operations and Maintenance
The Capacity Management Operations and Maintenance (CMOM) repair replacement project is underway as a continuation of the Year 1 closed circuit television (CCTV) inspection work.

North Liberty Street Water and Sewer Replacement
The project work extends from West Chester all the way to India Street and requires daily traffic control for full road closures. Roadways will be reopened nightly.

Sea Street 3rd Sewer Force Main Project
The Town is implementing a sewer project that will include the installation of a new sewer force main that will connect the Sea Street Pump Station (SSPS) to the Surfside Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF).

South Shore Road Sewer Extension Project
During the spring and fall of 2022, the Town of Nantucket will begin the installation of new sewer and water main infrastructure along South Shore Rd.

Surfside Road Sewer
The purpose of the Surfside Road Area Sewer System Improvements project is to provide adequate capacity for the sewer system expansions for the needs areas identified in the 2014 Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP) Update.
