Fiscal Year 2021 third quarter tax bills are available. 

DUE TO A SLIGHT PROCESSING DELAY IN THE ISSUANCE OF THE THIRD QUARTER REAL ESTATE AND PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX BILLS, THE DUE DATE FOR BOTH THE THIRD AND FOURTH QUARTER TAX BILLS IS MAY 3, 2021.

The first quarter preliminary real estate and persona! property tax bills were issued on July 1, 2020 and were due on August 3, 2020. The second quarter preliminary tax bills were issued October 1, 2020 and were due on November 2, 2020. Preliminary tax bills generally represent one half of the prior fiscal year's total tax. The annual tax rate and new assessed values were set in December 2020 and are reflected on the "actual" tax bill issued January 8, 2021.

The third quarter real estate and persona! property tax bills were issued on January 8, 2021and will be due on May 3, 2021. The fourth quarter real estate and persona! property tax bills will be issued on April 1, 2021 and will be due on May 3, 2021.

Finance Department Operations During Covid-19 Pandemic

If you must drop payments or documentation in person, please use the drop box located at 37 Washington Street. The lockbox is mounted through the wall of the building and is located in the corner under the porch. 

A member of the Finance Department team is available by phone or email Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. Access to the public is not allowed. Please contact the department directly by either phone or email to make an appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess real estate and personal property taxes.
  • Collect taxes and fees for many departments and agencies.
  • Coordinate the financial services of the town.
  • Manage insurance needs.
  • Oversee risk management.
  • Process town invoices.
  • Process town payroll.
  • Provide assistance to citizens and town agencies in town financial matters.
  • Retain copies of all contracts executed by the town and county.
