Town and County Facilities:
Not currently open for the public to enter.  Some departments are arranging public access by appointment only; please check with specific departments for details. Current state guidance is that offices use alternative measures for now to serve the public (such as email, telephone, video conferencing, on-line applications, drop-boxes, curbside delivery). Until the town is able to have the appropriate safety measures in place for its employees and the public, and state guidance relaxes, the offices will remain physically closed. We urge the public to call the office you need, directly, for service.

 25 Federal Street Information Bureau is open Monday - Sunday, 9 am - 5 pm.

✘ Remote kiosks at Straight Wharf and Nantucket Memorial Airport are closed.

Finance Department:

 Staff working in office, and remotely.
 Collections online, mail.
 Please call or email for assistance.
✘ All offices closed to the public.

Fire Department/EMS:

 Staff present in offices.
 Inspectional services are operating as required.
 For emergencies, call 911.
✘ Public Safety Facility closed to the public.
✘ Public education and outreach has been paused.

Harbor Master:

✓ Limited operations.
✓ Inspections by appointment only.
✓ Payments via mail or online only..
✘ Office closed to the public.

Health Department:

Staff working remotely on limited hours.
Food Delivery Program.
Minimal email and phone.
Permits to be submitted electronically for review.
✓ Limited inspections scheduled for essential services.

Natural Resources Department:

 Staff working remotely on limited hours.
 Limited shellfish and species monitoring.
 Permits to be submitted electronically.

PLUS Department:

 Staff working in the office and remotely. Available by phone and e-mail.
 Inspectors available to perform any required inspections.
 Drop Off / Pick Up bins available outside for applications.
 New permits being issued.

 Fully operational for Law Enforcement Services.
 For emergencies, call 911.
 Business Licensing/Permits available online.
 Open for walk-in’s for police and permitting services.
 Applications for new firearms permits are now being accepted.

Public Works:

 Landfill drop-off open.
 Public bathrooms open.
 Electronic permits via email to dpw@nantucket-ma.com.
